  • North Humberside Riding Centre - a History

It was back in the 1960's that Toni Biglin set up her versatile riding centre in Yorkshire’s ‘Far East’ of Holderness and ran a popular livery yard with horses and ponies used by generations of visitors, liveries and local riders.

Toni specialised in dressage well before people had heard of 'dancing with horses'.

Nowadays it is no longer possible to hire horses and so the name North Humberside Riding Centre is being changed to reflect the focus on the Holiday Barn.  However, the yard is still a wonderful base to ride from and still has the stabling and riding school facilities available to guests along with long bridleways and quiet lanes in the area, and beach rides on the doorstep.

Day visitors can take advantage of our ‘Park and Ride’ service and leave your horse box safely for the day while you explore the beaches and bridleways of this quiet corner of England or stay for several days in the delightful 3-bedroomed South Riding Holiday Barn cottage.
